      MARY ANDERSON, LMT, NCTMB, Herbalist                          

Mary is a Delaware licensed therapeutic massage therapist, nationally certified through NCBTMB and a member of the AMTA since 2003. Professionally trained by Dr. Rosita Arvigo and the Mayan healers in Belize as a certified Arvigo Maya Abdominal Massage Practioner, Mary specializes in female healthi issues as relates to the pelvic area. Mary apprenticed with Rosemary Gladstar and has been a practicing Herbalist and Flower Essence Practioner for more than 15 years. Her work combines her life long passion of earth based medicine, energy healing and therapeutic massage.

 

HELEN BAKER , LMT, NCTMB

  Helen is our most experienced therapist, having practiced for the past 16 years.One-hour appointments with Helen are $80 and 90-minute appointments are $125 and 2-hour appointments are $170...and believe us, it's worth every penny!  If you have ever had an excellent therapist who left town or stopped practicing and you've just never been able to find a replacement, try Helen Baker.  Or, if you've ever been to The Massage Center before and you're therapist did not meet all of your needs, try Helen Baker.

 

MIMI BATMAN , LMT, NCTMB

Mimi is available on Wednesdays, Fridays and every other Saturday.  Mimi has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and is a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Institute of Wholistic Studies at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Collingswood, New Jersey where she studied Massage Therapy and Reflexology.  She has special training in Dr. Vodder's Manual Lymph Drainage and in Neuromuscular Therapy of the torso and pelvis. Mimi is one of three therapists on our Prenatal Massage services team and our Cancer Massage team.

 

RON CARTER , LMT, NCTMB, Certified Medical Massage Therapist, Lypotherapist

Nina Crile, RN,MBA, LMT, NCTM

Nina Crile is the founder of the Crile Institute for Massage located in The Masage Center. Twenty two years of experience brings an added therapeutic dimension of Zen not present in the traditional massage setting. A combination of Swedish, Deep Muscle, Myofascial, Craniosacral, Neuromuscular Re-Education, Medical/Orthopedic, Reiki and Healing touch are combined and tailored to meet individual needs.       Denise Flinchum, LMT, NCTMB

     Denise trained with Natural Touch School of Massage in Greensboro, North Carolina.  After graduation she moved to Wilmington and became a member of The Massage Center's team. Currently, she practices Swedish, Deep Tissue, hot Stone massage, and is certified in Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy.

 

      

       Karin Hampton, LMT, NCTMB

       Karin's training was in North Carolina at the Southeastern School Neuromuscular Massage Therapy.  Since then she has

     trained in a multitude of modalities, such as Reiki, Cranio-Sacral, Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy and Tourmaline. Karin

     has also developed several continuing education courses for massage therapist, including Hot Stone with Neuromuscular

     Techniques, which is also a terrific modality for clients to try especially for chornic conditions.

     Lorna Lee,  Acupuncturist 

Lorna is a board certified acupuncturist and herbalist.  Lorna has a bachelors degree in psychology from University of Illinois, a Masters degree in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture, where she studied both Chinese and Japanes styles of treatment.  She also studied Chinese herbology with Ted Kaptchuk, and in 1997 completed a clinical internship at the Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Harbin, China.  Sorry, The Massage Center gift certificates cannot be used for acupuncture services. 

GLENDA TYLER , LMT, NCTMB  
A graduate of Delaware State University and Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy, Glenda’s first career is in Social Work. Her understanding and compassion come through in her gentle, skillful massage.  Glenda is also our resident Thai Yoga Massage Therapist, offering this unique alternative modality to her clients. 

     Katie Schmidt, LMT, NCTMB

     Katie Schmidt completed her massage education at the National  Massage Therapy Institute. She joined the Massage          Center team in September of 2006. She offers Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, ear candling, and Hot Stone

     Massage. She is also certified in Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy. Katie will be happy to work with you to reach your

     relaxation goals!

     Tammy Woodward, CMT

     Tammy has been practicing massage in Delaware since 2002. She trained at Deep Muscle Therapy School and the

     Academy of Massage Therapy and Bodywork. She specializes in Prenatal and Postnatal massage. She also does Swedish,

     Deep Tissue, and Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy.

From Claymont and Points North:

Take 95 South to the Marsh Road exit. Turn left (south) onto Marsh Road. At the third traffic light, turn right onto Philadelphia Pike (Business Route 13). We will be in the 2nd block on your left at 222 Philadelphia Pike. 

From Wilmington and Points South:

Take 95 North to the Marsh Road exit. When you come off the exit, you will turn left onto Carr Road and then you will make an immediate right at the first light onto Marsh Road (South). On Marsh Road, you will make a right at your 2nd light onto Philadelphia Pike (Business Route 13). We will be in the 2nd block on your left at 222 Philadelphia Pike.

Using 495 from Claymont and Points North:

Take  route 3 Edgemoor exit. Turn left on Governor Printz Boulevard (Route 13) and go to your first light and turn right onto Egemoor Road. Follow Edgemoor Road and turn right on Philadelphia Pike (Business Route 13). As you head up the hill we will be on the right at 222 Philadelphia Pike.

Using 495 from Wilmington and Points South:

Take Route 3 Edgemoor exit. Come off of the exit and turn right on Hay Road. Go to the first stop sign and turn right on Edgemoor Road. Take Edgemoor Road to your fifth traffic light and turn right on Philadephia  Pike (Business Route 13). As you head up the hill we will be on the right at 222 Philadelphia Pike.
